My name is William King. My Aboriginal skin name is Jungala. I was born in Katherine in the Northern Territory on the 12th of August 1966.
This was to be an autobiography of sorts but who I am becoming as a person is someone who does not live in the past. In truth, I feel uncomfortable looking back and articulating my history. In recent times I remain largely focused on the present. As an artist I think passion is only articulated in living, which is only happening now.
In so many ways much of my past seems like someone else’s story, memories of things experienced and seen so long ago. I have had some sad times I could recall, very few bad times but above all I have had a beautiful life full of love to a large extent.
My many experiences in life do define who I am today. I have been privileged to have had people in my life who define my love of life. I will say in observing my own life journey I have evolved from a very instinctive boy of little complexity to a man who is constantly looking for the ultimate formula for the human condition.
Today I often say that the sun never sets in my world. I love my life, my time here on earth and my ultimate goal is to savour my personal frontier on a day to day basis.
